Ultra South Africa announces 2024 dates. The ninth edition of Ultra South Africa will be held at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Racecourse in Cape Town and Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg on 1 and 2 March 2024, respectively.
Presented by Smirnoff Storm, the 2024 edition of the premier outdoor electronic music festival is expected to welcome back tens of thousands of music lovers. According to the organisers, a line-up of artists will be announced soon.
“Ultra South Africa is anticipating a huge demand for tickets for its 2024 edition, and has unveiled a ticket registration prior to its official on-sale launch,” Ultra South Africa said. “With registration, fans will receive the chance to buy limited Tier 1 tickets at launch-phase pricing – the most affordable tickets available. Attendees can register for tickets here(link is external) before Tier 1 tickets officially go on sale on Tuesday 1 August.”
Ultra South Africa 2023 broke attendance records, with performances from local acts including Zakes Bantwini, Focalistic, DBN Gogo, Uncle Waffles, Abby Nurock, Floyd Lavine and Msaki as well as DJs Adam Beyer (Sweden), Joris Voorn (Netherlands) and Kölsch (Denmark), among others.
The organisers added: “With nearly 500 000 attendees over Ultra South Africa’s eight-year history, the 2024 edition will sustain the festival’s storied legacy by bringing the event to new heights with elevated, top-shelf production and musical talent.”
Ultra South Africa is part of the larger Ultra Music Festival (UMF) series, a flagship event in Miami. Founded in 1997 in Miami, UMF represents one of the world’s biggest independent electronic music festival brands, with an international presence, having united 20 countries across five different continents. Other franchises under UMF include locations in Croatia, South Korea, Singapore, Mexico, Brazil and Colombia, among others.
