Ukhozi FM presenter and founder of the Crown Gospel Awards, Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule, has died.
Her husband, Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule, announced her death in a statement issued on Monday morning.
She died in the early hours of on Monday morning at the Parklands Hospital, in Johannesburg.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Mbokazi-Nkambule had lung cancer.
After the news of her diagnosis was made public, Mbokazi-Nkambule described it as the “toughest moment of [her] life” in a post on social media.
Her family expressed their gratitude for the support they received while she was ill and requested privacy while they grieved.
In the meantime, tributes have been pouring in on social media.
She has been remembered for her “unwavering dedication, passion, and love for uplifting others”.
She was 52-years-old at the time of her death and was also recognised for her achievements as an entrepreneur and author.
